Description

The red chilli zeppelin form was inspired by the plants I grow in my rooftop container garden. It started off life as a plain gourd but that held little interest for me (why settle for mediocre, right?). I kept re-shaping the clay until the pleasing shape of a chilli emerged. Then came the big question, “What do I do with a giant chilli?”

As an object, it didn’t say much on its own, however its zeppelin-like belly was beckoning for a story. I eventually caved in! So, I learned how to make a net, crafted a boat and filled the vessel with a crew of tiny ancient goddesses.
