Remek Soundworx strikes back!

After a long hiatus, they’re throwing a reunion party in Liberec, Czech Republic, on May 16th, and I’m chuffed to be doing live visuals alongside my husband, Honza, VJ #crs1138 and their stellar DJ lineup.

To promote the occasion, I’ve created this bonkers video set to a pounding tekno remix by Acidbreaker (aka DJ Gog23), who’ll also be spinning many of his homemade tracks live at the party. Featuring the effortlessly talented and wildly funny, Profesor Bacterio as the central character, the footage was all shot around our barrio here in Barcelona. It’s a fusion of hilarious fooling around, gritty urban backdrops and rhythmic editing to match the music’s intensity.

Freetekno party spirit

Remek Soundworx was co-founded by Honza, in the year 2000, influenced by legendary crews like Circus Alien, NSK and the pioneering Spiral Tribe. Back then, Remek was known for throwing unforgettable parties throughout the first half of the 2000s across Europe. This reunion is set to rekindle that same freetekno party spirit.

Legal venue!

The Argonaut venue is a proper underground gem – a 300-capacity alternative space in the heart of Liberec, ready to pulse with acid techno, hard tek, Frenchcore and hardcore. With their original DJ line up: Acidbreaker, 1KA and NoName on the decks, it’s going to be a night of distorted phat beats and immersive visuals.

We’ll be there mixing visuals live as VJ’s Miss Plunkett & #crs1138, so if you’re anywhere near Liberec, come dance your socks off and let your mind melt into a heady mix of art and tekno!

Video art in your space!

Preparing for this project has had me out in the streets with my camera a lot recently and then later buried deep in my post-production – crafting bespoke VJ clips, layered mixes and digital art content. It’s been a total immersion but I love it!

I’m offering high quality art prints of these video stills. Shot in 4K and constructed in 8K resolution, they can be printed out in either 60 or 120 cm wide aluminium panels (they’re water and light resistant) – ready to hang and enjoy.
