A 40cm tall, highly glazed stoneware ceramic sculpture of a female form, heavily textured in places.

I like the contrast between the smooth pink and the Cracked Earth texture. I have been developing this rough natural looking texture for years and it’s advancing once again – now it’s working well with a transparent turquoise crackle glaze, over a copper wash, which enhances the texture even more. All the glazes on this piece are mixed from scratch, some of them are even my own recipes.

This is the 2nd dolly in a series of 3 – so far. There is the Benthic Goddess, which I showed you before, this is The Duchess and there is a Queen drying in my studio as I type. My dollies hold high ranks!
