Artmixture is an international collective of creative souls, who come together to produce arty collaborations.
This is one of the collaborations performed at the first Artmixture Collective live event, on Saturday 7th March 2026, in the exceptional town of Órgiva, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains – Spain.
Live performance
I made a simple and fluid video backdrop to enhance this flowing dance performance, ‘Braided Light’ by Siobhan Padmore and Rebecca Faro. I love the way the costumes pick up the projections and become like a moving screen.
Braided light is a blend of movement & visuals accompanied by piano music. The whole piece is about meeting, merging and parting and what that evokes inwardly. My hope is that something moves inside those who watch it and that they find their own metaphors and meaning.

Music
‘Cinco Dias’ by Mix Amylo – performed by her on piano, Philippe Aeby on guitar, and Gus Zaballos on percussion.
The piece of music used in this performance is one of my instrumental compositions ‘Cinco Días’ from my latest album Clouding. I thought its flowing piano and moments of light and shade, calm and drama, would perfectly suit dance. The original recording features piano and strings, so it was interesting to change that to piano, guitar and percussion. The guitar had to sound ambient rather than rhythmic, so Philippe used effects to alter the sound and make it more ethereal. Gus used a light touch, mostly brushes on cymbals, and I played what was on the recording – a lot of notes! I was really happy with how it turned out; changing the instrumentation of a piece brings it to life in a different way.
