Description

A one of a kind, porcelain rabbit sculpture (with attitude), modelled by hand and mounted on a hardwood base. Playing with porcelain is very different from other clays, it’s more like sculpting with butter.

Maybe rabbit’s keep popping up in my artwork because when, as a child, my big teeth came through goofy, I got called, “Bugs Bunny”, even by adults. Initially it felt hurtful but I reckon I’ve transformed that narrative into something empowering – a celebration of bunny energy!

My childhood experiences, though challenging, have helped to shape my artistic identity – so now you know!

I had to develop a strong sense of humour when I sported those amazing front bunny teeth. Life became so much easier when I had them straightened at 12.
