Introducing this new stoneware ceramic sculpture – a reclining nude with soft pink hair. Hands held gently to her chest, face completely at peace. Her hair and nails are glazed; the rest of her is left raw with an iron oxide wash, that picks out her texture.

She doesn’t need to negotiate her needs, even to herself. She just holds herself where she needs to be. Comfortable and free. She is nature – an ordinary woman, unposed present, unglamorised, just being herself in the heat and wearing her birthday suit.

She doesn’t need permission. She’s simply resting – she’s already arrived home to herself.

This sculpture is ready to hang on a hook. It’s made of vitrified clay and is happy to stay indoors or go outside on your garden wall.
