This atmospheric A3 collage on paper invites slowness and reflection. Dark, spacey, and meditative, it reveals itself gradually rather than all at once.

The work was created during a workshop exploring body diversity, yet the source material available told a familiar story: women framed through desirability, men through status and occupation. Instead of resolving this tension, the collage allows it to remain visible. The resulting figure feels emotionally charged, human, and imperfect – and yet still held within a wider sense of calm.

Inspired by Orbital by Samantha Harvey, the piece echoes the sensation of distance and observation. Like orbiting the Earth and looking back from afar, it gently reframes scale and importance. Everyday concerns begin to loosen, replaced by a quieter awareness of space, time, and perspective.

Framed and placed on a wall, this work becomes a steady presence—responsive to the emotional weather and rewards repeated, unhurried viewing.
