A tall, multifaceted creature who looks regal even without her rank. The High Tide Priestess is part of a series of crinoline dollies – feminine, elegant figures with the odd deliberate rough edge and touch of surrealism.

Inspired by deep-sea scuba diving observations, she carries the ocean in her details: seaweed climbs her dress, while the bottom of her A-line skirt is decorated with marine life from the benthic zone.

Made from the earth and finished with minerals from the ground, she’s equally at home indoors or out – happy to take her place as a garden sculpture.

Standing 80cm tall, this is a substantial high-fired ceramic art piece in full colour. Pieces of this scale are notoriously difficult to fire successfully – kiln size limits, warping and cracking risk all come into play – making her a true technical achievement as well as a striking sculptural one.

She arrives in two interlocking parts for ease of transport, and can be cemented together once she’s in place.
