Description

Little red lips and glossy red details embellish the golden geometric shapes, adding a bold contrast to this surreal composition. The index fingers (cast from my own hands) reach upward, carefully balancing the cube, evoking the grace and exactness of performers, circus entertainers and acrobats. There’s a sense of playfulness here, a theatrical presence – dressed up, poised, and ready to impress.

This surreal stoneware sculpture was a challenge to create – entirely hollow, requiring meticulous drying of each part before assembling them with balance and precision, especially when positioning the cube at the top. Fortunately, I enjoyed the delicate process of manoeuvring my fine glaze brush around its intricate forms, bringing each detail to life.
